9,500 people evacuated from a threatening forest fire near Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. Several thousand more told to leave their homes in the Crows Nest Pass area of the Canadian Rockies. Many homes and businesses have been destroyed. Among the business casualties is a sawmill operation near Kamloops that was totally burned out This was the main source of income for the community where the mill operated. There is no word whether this business had a Business Recovery Plan.
